Limitations: Some births and deaths are reported late or not at all, and may limit the accuracy of the unadjusted data presented. As the place of residence field on the Indian Registration System is not regularly updated, the residency numbers represents a snapshot in time on whether an individual lives on or off reserve. This may not be a true reflection of the proportion of First Nation individuals living on-reserve due to high mobility trends associated with First Nations.
